BLOGMAS Day 22 - Homemade Lemonade recipe & Himatangi

Hey,

Welcome to Day 22 of BLOGMAS!!

I don't know about you.. But it's Day 22... (I had to)
I opened the 22nd door of my advent calendar, which today was a dry skin hand cream. I have two more doors to open! I feel like christmas has crept up on me so fast.

After some muddled directions to my brother, pumping rock music in his car, a whole lotta U turns, he dropped me at my friend, Anya's. I think it's just me, but I love looking at everyone's Christmas decorations around their house! So enjoy Anya's mothers handiwork.

A pop to the Warehouse and Savemart meant we got the lasts of Christmas presents, I got a few more things for friends and something more for my mother. Around 4 pm the weather decided it didn't want to be summer, and thus the sky cried on us. Homemade lemonade was spontaneously made.

Georgia's Spontaneous Homemade Lemonade Recipe:

  1. Taking 1 cup of Water  & 1 cup of White Sugar into a pot on medium heat, simmer until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Juice 4-6 lemons (1 cup of lemon juice is needed)
  3. Add 'em all together with a few more cups of water and add some citric acid to taste.
  4. When Life gives you lemons...

My mother went on a round trip, picking up my father then me so we could all go off to Himatangi! As previously stated the weather was awful   brilliant...

We were checking out a bach Dad's friend was letting us stay at, and we're going to be staying there Boxing day weekend! I'm rather excited for that, Himatangi is half an hour away, and every year we are the ones who travel 7 hours in the car for Christmas. There is always something so nice about a home Christmas, you can stay in your pj's all day if you want to because no one cares!

That night I had the best night I think, I've had all year. We ate around the table as a family and everyone was in such a good mood. Thomas was so much fun tonight, and as he lives in a sleepout outside of our house, sometimes I don't see him. My aunty and uncle came over around 9 pm, and we just chatted in our lounge. I love nights where we just enjoy each others company. Like tonight, instead of turning on the television, we listened to Classic New Zealand songs.

I think that that's really what Christmas is all about. Just being around each other, and loving everyone. I would be fine without any gifts if everyone was in a great mood and talking and laughing.

It's now 2 am into the 23rd... true blogger dedication.

I'll see you tomorrow/today.

Love,
Georgia Maree xx
