Baby Angora Bunnies, Millie and Mardy

Hey.

We have two new adorable additions to the  'heey'family, Mildred Hermione (Millie) and Mardy. Millie is a chinchilla grey, and Mardy is light grey/white. I named Millie and my brother named Mardy.
They are angora bunnies and they melt my heart! We got them from a breeder who is sisters-in-law with a friend of my mothers, and being able to get photos of the bunnies growing up, and meeting them before getting them has made the journey such a pleasure.

When we met them for the first time, the whole mood and atmosphere of the room lifted. They're so relaxing and lovely! One of them; Millie, slept on my shoulder for half an hour.

Having anxiety, means I'm always looking for things to relax me and I think I've found a great one.
There are lots of studies about animals helping stress levels, and having a cat who's practically wild and away most of the day doesn't help! Our bunnies have been handled heaps, and have the loveliest personalities so I know being around them will be an enjoyable experience.

The following photos go from them being newborn to our first meeting to introducing them to their new house!

I love them a lot, and I have a feeling you will too!

Newborn baby buns! They look like furry sausages with ears!

Mama bunny in all her fluffy glory.
From the litter!

Their sibling is here at around 2 weeks old.
Meeting them for the first time!
These two immediately snuggled together after a
long run around our living room.

Just a quick groom sesh for Mardy.

Sleepy buns <3

(this photo isn't actually of Millie its her brother) and Mardy.

Squeeee! I loves them.

Mardy was yawning and I quickly
managed a picture!
Too cute.

MILLIE!

She is a lil ball of fluff.

She happens to be the runt,
and is quite thin; so
she really is all fluff.

The carrot war.

It was a vicious fight to the death
(***none actually died nor was it vicious**)

Mardy taking the lead...

And.. surprise! The bigger fluffier one won ;--)

Mardy's secret is she's actually a very tiny sheep.

Mardy has really adorable half floppy ears <3

Trialing out the hutch for the first time,
they're indoor buns so it was their first
experience with grass etc.
For now, they're sleeping inside at night and
we're gradually introducing them to the hutch.
With summer coming, they won't freeze outside
overnight and their fluffy coats help too.
Them being so young, I don't want to leave
them outside overnight! Eh.. Maybe I'm just being an
overprotective mama bunny.

Thank you so much for reading!

I hope you enjoyed the photos of our bunnies.
Have an amazing week. xx
