Hey.
There is nothing more cozy, and delightful than snuggling into a massive fluffy blanket, watching a movie while its pouring with rain outside.
I always find that there's a certain magic when it rains. The gentle pitter on your roof as you feel safe and warm in your house and the sounds of sploshes as it hits puddles and you're still cuddled up, peaceful and relaxed.
It's the time of year when, here in the southern hemisphere it should be getting warmer. Here in New Zealand or at least my part of it, is disobeying that. Lately, its been full of frozen nights to warm mornings and then a weird middle ground.
As summer approaches, i begin to get excited. For me, summer signals brightness, family, barbeques and water. With every new season, I start off with my mind filled with high expectations of tumblr ready pictures and eating pinterest perfect recipes.
Some of me is sad. I'm going to miss these times when you cuddle up into a fuzzy blanket and watch movies all day and drink hot chocolate.
Yet, when its winter I miss the shining sun, and the sparkling blue sea.
The best thing is though, it doesn't matter which season you prefer, (even spring and autumn which I didn't mention!) because it all rotates.
'Never fear winter will come back 'round again, next year.'
With that in mind, I compiled a few photos of my winter(& autumn) in an 'ode to winter'.
Ps. New Zealand is so unreliable weather wise that a few look summery... :(
