BLOGMAS Day 13 - Ginger Bread Men and Farm Day

Hey,

Welcome to Day 13 of BLOGMAS!!

Today in the 13th door of my advent calendar I got a body lotion. It smells like baby powder, but it feels nice on my skin so that's a tick from me!

(But first technically my day began at 1 am buying a whole heap of presents on my Prezzy Card!)

And now into my body lotion!

My Uncle and Aunty came over for lunch and we ate quiche, talked about everything from hair dye to Secret Santa. They left on their merry way and suddenly outside the wind picked up. Being in the midst of summer now it's always surprising when wind and rain make their way into our sunny clear skies.

That baking urge struck me again and I felt Ginger Bread men were calling out my name... hence this:

(I substituted molasses for maple syrup because we honestly don't have molasses in New Zealand!)

Look at these lil guys! I'm rather happy with how they turned out, we had to ground our own cloves and the cloves smell in my kitchen is so festive and lovely! All the spices in these are great and not too over powering.

I even may have made my own little christmas tree, he may not look the cutest but I think he's great.. A+ for trying!

We spent the evening off at my other uncles farm and we just had dinner, enjoyed looking at Florence the Pig and I enjoyed getting snuggles from Horse the kitten.
