BLOGMAS Day 1 - Rain, Opshops and Hunger Games

Hey,

Welcome to Day 1 of BLOGMAS

December first has brought rain, rain and more rain. It's the first day of summer here and the weather is more suited to autumn.

I started the day funnily enough, at 1 am to the pleasant surprise of a giant spider. Yeah. Picture this; you wake up to go the bathroom, feeling fine and calm and suddenly spot your cat playing in a corner. Curiousity takes over and you wander closer until you spot what your cat has in her claws.

A. Huge. Black. Spider. And now picture that it's 1 am and your parents are asleep and your squeals are not helping anything! That, was my morning!

After the tumultuous spider meeting, I woke up again at 8 for catching a ride in to meet my friend, Lauren in town. We spent the morning dodging the rain, singing lyrics perfectly in time to each other and opshopping. I found a few things for the upcoming 80's party and Irish Party I'm going to, and I may or may not have spent all of my money.. Oops?

The best thing about the countdown to Christmas is Advent Calendars! A few months back (September!) I was lucky enough to get a beauty advent calendar from Paris  Charles De Gaulle Airport Duty Free, and I finally got to open my first day!! Inside was a face cream that smells and feels amazing.

The hours after were spent snuggled on the couch watching Gossip Girl on Netflix, with Mollie asleep and purring on my lap. I'm now on Season Three, after clawing through one and two in only a couple weeks.. No regrets?! You know you've watched a whole lotta Gossip Girl when you can quote the beginning word for word..

The smell of popcorn then greeted my nose as we arrived to the cinema for The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part Two! Excited nerves bubbled in my stomach as my friends and I piled into the cinema. At all the jump scares our little group of friends held hands nervously, a lot of jumps in the seat were had by Lauren, and Anya squeezed my hand to death! It was nice though, sharing an experience together even if it was being scared at the cinema. We were all too excited and bubbly at the end and hugs were had with Ella, Lauren and Anya then we trotted off to our own homes.

Returning to my real world, out of Panem and Katniss and President Snow's white roses, I finished the day with my weirdo cat attacking a plastic bag (seeing a trend here?) and listening to my favourite Christmas song Last Christmas by Wham! At the very end of the night some things happened that I won't go into but I didn't have the coolest night ever, but tomorrow will be better!

May your December be filled with happiness! See you tomorrow.

Love,

Georgia Maree xx

*I almost wrote XOXO Gossip Girl.. My obsession is getting too intense*
