Summer Solo Walk

Hey,

There is nothing better then just walking, with yourself and your thoughts. 3:06 pm, I slip my shoes on and just go. The companionship of my camera, wandering along. Sun peeps through trees above, giving pavements splatters and patterns of shadow.

A small wind blows on my face, gently flicking my hair back. My thoughts swirl around like bees. I still walk. It's nice, I think, to be alone, fully alone. Walking over the hill towards the river, lead by an invisible force. Bikers whiz past, glancing at the girl with the Elsa stickered camera, walking, alone.

Into the woods I go. White fluff is strewn across the grass, to which my imagination goes to the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. It looks snow like, maybe we had a white Christmas after all.

I watch people watch the girl with the Elsa stickered camera climb down towards the river. I found a nook there, sand fills my shoes. It's quiet. Peaceful. A man with a biege backpack cycles past, I watch him watch me. Little did he know he would be interrupting my photo.

Road works continue in the background, two birds frollick together in the foreground. Ignorance is bliss, I think.

The girl with the Elsa stickered camera crosses away from her secret hiding place, over to a shadowed path.

The warm wind nudges me into the forrest, the sun winks. I plunder through unbeknownst to me, plants nip at my legs. It isn't until I return home that I notice. Everything so lush and green captures my thoughts.

Trees lean over, making a canopy. It's almost a tunnel.

I wander down a new path. The sky is so light blue, I think, watching the windmills.

Heat waves either ruined this picture or have proved my point. It's almost as if the sky is pretending to be water, I think.

It wasn't until afterwards, I noticed the bee perched on it.

4:48 pm. Shoes off, door closed.
