11:03 am. Today across New Zealand thousands maybe millions of students got their NCEA exam results back. It's a stressful time. And whatever you do, don't go on Facebook. Yours truly made that mistake. It's filled with people broadcasting their results and if there's one thing I don't like its when  people  post their results.

I get it. You excellenced, congratulations! I'm genuinely happy for you, because you worked for that. But its when kids who have worked for it and get "below average" I feel crushed for them.

Me personally, I'm content with my results. Smack, in the middle. I'm proud that I was able to overcome all the obstacles in my way in 2015, and make it over the other side.

I think it's important to remember that exam results are not a direct reflection of yourself. You are so many things that the examiners cannot judge. At the end of the day, that's just pen and paper. You are a living breathing being, capable of taking on the world, should you chose to.

Comparing a bit of paper some old person has marked with another identical one, YOU ARE GREAT. Don't compare yourself to anyone other than yourself.

Keep keeping on, and kick ass this year.
